Dr. Jim Miller
Dr. Jim Miller was raised in Sandpoint Idaho. Graduated HS in 1965 and attended the University of Idaho. He graduated in 1970 with a BS in Education and immediately went into the Army. A Reserve Army commission through ROTC took him to Ft. Benning GA and Ft. Lewis WA, where he served as a First Lieutenant Company Commander in a Basic Infantry training command. Upon completion of military service he enrolled at the University of Washington in Seattle. There he completed two years of pre Dental studies and graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry.
From there it was on to private practice in Everett WA. From 1977 to 1994 Dr. Miller developed his skills and special interests in Dentistry. In 1994 Dr. Miller, his wife Nancy and two children moved to Sandpoint where he purchased the practice of Dr. Gerald Madsen. It was Dr. Madsen ( Dr. Millers Dentist in high school ) who encouraged Jim to become a Dentist.
Dr. Miller has been involved with the American Dental Association, Idaho State Dental Association, Panhandle Dental Society, Pierrie Fouchard Academy, Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and service as a Trustee for the Idaho State Dental Association for four years.4
Retiring in 2012 was bitter sweet. He enjoyed the free time but missed his patients and the challenges of practice. Joining the Avondale Dental will provide a much needed balance of work, patient contact and time off.
