Dr. James A Robson, DMD
Dr. Jim Robson is a native Idahoan with deep roots.
His great-great grandfather was the first Supreme Court Justice for the Territory of Idaho and then became the first Supreme Court Justice for the new State of Idaho and his great grandfather was a District Judge for the State of Idaho who resided in Harrison. Dr. Robson’s grandparents were in the first graduating class of Coeur d’Alene High School and his father was Attorney General for the State of Idaho. Dr. Robson’s children, Mitch and Sara, graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School, Idaho State University and the University of Idaho.
Dr. Robson graduated from Kellogg High School and the University of Idaho. He then attended and graduated from the University of Oregon Dental School, with honors, in 1972. After a three year stint working in the Kootenai region of British Columbia, Canada, he returned to Idaho to open a dental practice in 1975. Dr. Robson purchased “Erma’s Store” (Erma was his great aunt) next to Avondale Golf Club in Hayden Lake, converting the building into Avondale Dental and has practiced there since.
Dr. Robson has been very active in dentistry; he has served as president of the Kootenai County Dental Society, North Idaho Dental Society and the Idaho State Dental Association and he has belonged to numerous dental study groups throughout the years receiving many honors and awards. Dr. Robson is most proud of receiving:
- The ISDA’s Presidents Award as the Outstanding Dentist in Idaho.
- Being named by his peers as the most Outstanding Esthetic Dentist in the Area
Dr. Robson’s wife Shelly works for the University of Idaho Athletic Department. They enjoy golfing, fishing, boating and living in Hayden Lake area. Their family in the area include: Dr. Robson’ mother, Penny; son, Mitch and grand-daughter, Olivia; daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Ellis and grand-daughter, Camas.
