KamiKami Nielsen, RDH

Kami Nielsen has been with Avondale Dental since 2011. Kami was born and raised in the Coeur dʼAlene area. She graduated from Lake City High School early to travel abroad and serve with various outreaches, including the Peace Corp. Upon returning, she continued her education at NIC then attended Dental Hygiene School at Carrington College in Boise, Idaho where she received her Associates of Science and Registered Dental Hygiene license. Kami is a member of the Inland Northwest Dental Hygiene Study Club. She is very passionate about her profession and is excited about the future of dental hygiene and growing with her team mates at Avondale Dental.

Kami has a wonderful husband and beautiful son. They enjoy all things outdoors including camping, hiking, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. There is no other place she would rather live or work!

BrennaBrenna Cowan, RDH

Brenna Cowan was born and raised in Hayden Lake as a proud Coeur d’Alene Viking. She attended Montana State University receiving a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Development in 2006. In 2012, she graduated from Carrington College in Dental Hygiene, becoming a Registered Dental Hygienist.

Brenna joined Avondale Dental in 2013. When she is not busy working with her wonderful staff, you will find her spending time with her husband in the great outdoors. They enjoy hiking, skiing, boating and spending time with their families.

Brenna is a member of the Inland Northwest Hygiene Study Club and the Pinnacle Dental Hygiene Study Club.

EllanEllen Covill, RDH

Ellen joined the Avondale family in 2003.  She was born and raised in Kellogg, Idaho.  She attended Carroll College in Helena, Montana and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dental Hygiene.  Upon graduation, she moved to Billings, Montana and started her career in a periodontal office. Over the next few years, she was dedicated to enhancing her clinical and diagnostic skills used to treat periodontal disease. She was able to help other hygienists in general offices improve their skills to treat periodontal disease.

Ellen has 2 boys, Eloy and Dolan. She felt the desire to raise her boys around family, so they moved to the Coeur d’Alene area.  Ellen has been involved in the Inland Northwest Hygiene Study Club for 8 years and spent 1 year on the board.  She also participates in the Pinnacle Study Club.

JenniferJennifer Irwin, RDH

Jennifer Irwin R.D.H. has been a hygienist with Avondale Dental since 2001. She was born in Saginaw Michigan but was relocated and raised in the Great Inland Northwest. She graduated from Bremerton high school with honors, attended Wichita State University Dental Hygiene Program also graduating with honors.  She actively participates in the Inland Northwest Dental Hygiene Study Club in Spokane Washington, where she has attended since 2006.  She also is currently participating in the Pinnacle Dental Hygiene Study Club locally here in CDA Idaho. Jennifer is married and enjoys spending time with her friends, children, and two grandchildren. She spends her free time by being involved in church activities, camping, boating/fishing, skiing, and biking. Jennifer also loves animals and is a proud owner of a purebred English chocolate lab named Murray who just happens to love bananas.

LenaLena Cordle, RDH

Lena Cordle was born and raised in Centralia, Washington. She moved to Eastern Washington in 2007 to attend Eastern Washington University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and a minor in Health Sciences in 2010. She has enjoyed practicing as a Registered Dental Hygienist in North Idaho since graduation.

Lena joined Avondale Dental in 2014. She is very dedicated and passionate about her patient’s oral health and how it impacts their overall health. She is dedicated to educating and working hard to improve her patient’s oral hygiene. Lena is also a member of the Inland Northwest Dental Hygiene Study Club.

Outside of her profession she enjoys various outdoor activities, including: skiing, hunting, fishing, running, hiking, camping and boating. She loves North Idaho’s beauty and is excited about establishing great relationships and patient care with her colleagues at Avondale Dental.
